According to its wording, Art. 57 CISG applies only to the payment of the purchase price. For other money claims, like the repayment of the purchase price, there is no explicit provision on the place for payment. Art. 57 therefore does not apply to other payments. Rather, the relevant place for payment must be ascertained from the relevant provisions of domestic law.

Die Bestimmung des Art 57 CISG über den Zahlungsort findet ihrem Wortlaut nach nur für die Zahlung des Kaufpreises Anwendung. Für andere Geldschulden, wie die Rückzahlung des Kaufpreises, besteht hingegen keine ausdrückliche Regelung hinsichtlich des Ortes, an dem diese zu erbringen sind. Die Regelung des Art 57. ist also nicht auf andere Zahlungen anwendbar. Vielmehr ist der hiefür maßgebliche Zahlungsort aus der die Zahlung anordnenden Bestimmung des nationalen Rechts ableitbar.
